From July 2010 it is a requirement for new FA Charter Standard Community Clubs to have one Coach trained as a mentor. Existing FA Charter Standard Community Clubs will be required to have one Coach trained as a mentor by July 2011.
The course lasts for six hours and the content will include :
Developing Self Reflection with Mentees
Understanding the place of Mentoring
Appreciating the alternative models of Mentoring
Understanding the knowledge , skills and attributes of an effective Mentor
Using the Mentoring Tools to support Mentees
Developing the ability to build positive relationships
Demonstrating interpersonal skills including questioning and giving feedback
Action Planning.
In 2010 Berks & Bucks FA is offering the new Adult Mentoring Course as a McDonalds sponsored course. The course is being offered to our Charter Standard Community Clubs. As with previous McDonalds sponsored courses, this course will be free of charge and course places are restricted to one place per club on a first come, first served basis up to a maximum of 16 places.

Mentoring Course
Dates & Times: Tuesday 27th April 2010 (6.00pm – 9.00pm)
Wednesday 28th April 2010 (6.00pm – 9.00pm)
Venue: Wycombe Wanderers FC, Adams Park, Hillbottom Road,
High Wycombe, HP12 4HJ.
We require a £50.00 deposit with each application which will be held in the office and returned to you after the course ends. The cheque will be banked if your candidate does not attend the course.
