Berks and Bucks FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Caversham AFC

Caversham AFC, formerly known as Caversham Boys and Girls F.C. was founded in 1970 and has grown to become one of the biggest youth football clubs in the Reading area. Since 2005 the club has expanded to once again have girl’s squads in many age groups. The club now has approximately 500 registered players covering all age groups from U6 to U17, we also have a senior men's football squad.

The Club is a Charter Standard Community Club and is affiliated to the Berks & Bucks Football Association. Our teams are registered with the major mini soccer/eleven-a-side leagues based locally.

We have 33 youth teams providing football for all abilities. All this is only possible because we have a wonderfully dedicated team of coaches; managers, helpers and parents, all steered in the right direction by the Club committee.

Every player who joins Caversham AFC is guaranteed a fantastic level of coaching as we regularly train and re-train coaches according to the Football Association guidelines. As well as learning the basics of playing football, our players also develop many personal skills based around playing sport. The emphasis is always on enjoying the game and this in turn improves self confidence, respect for others, team spirit and good sportsmanship.

As well as the regular Saturday & Sunday morning football sessions, the Club also involves players in festivals, and social events. We have an annual Summer Presentation Day for the entire Club, family and friends, where the players are rewarded with individual mementos.

Caversham AFC is a real “family club” and everyone can get involved at some level. Our philosophy is ‘football for fun and we never turn a player away no matter what their ability’
