All of the Football Development Team's work is underpinned by the FA and County FA Football Strategy.
After extensive consultation, the FA split the strategy in to 4 main goals and three enablers to support delivery.
The goals are:
Growth & Retention: Sustaining & increasing the number of players within the game
Raising Standards: Creating a safe a positive environment for football via initiatives’ such as Charter Standard & Respect.
Better Players: Focusing on improving the quality of the playing experience for 5-11 year old age group.
Running The Game: Leading & governing the game.
The Enablers are:
Workforce: Recruiting and developing a highly skilled and diverse workforce.
Facilities: Improving the quality and access of training and playing facilities.
Promotion: Effective marketing, PR and communication skills.
Over the next 4 years, significant investment has been made in to each of the 45 County Associations which will make the delivery of this strategy a reality.
