Trustees: Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.
Claims will not be considered for any injury sustained prior to September 1st 2004 and any claim must be made within 28 days of the alleged injury.
A non-contributable fund that will disperse monies held within the account until its closure.
Cessation of the fund will close when applications exceed monies available. To which a percentage will be met, until the conclusion of the account.
The Fund shall be applied primarily for the benefit of necessitous persons who shall either be players belonging to clubs affiliated to the Association and playing in a Sanctioned League or Cup Competition who may be injured whilst playing football or be registered with the Association as a Referee or Assistant Referee in a sanctioned League or Cup Competition.
The term dependents - Shall be dependents of any such person dying as a result of such injury, or other related illness. Such person or persons as was or were wholly or in part dependent upon the deceased person's earnings, at the time or his/her death.
The Trustees shall also have power to make payments out of the Fund to such persons as have rendered assistance to the Association or to football provided such persons are in poor and necessitous circumstances. The Trustees shall also have the power to make grants out of the Fund to Hospitals and other charitable Institutions which shall be final and binding for all purposes.
Applications for grants from the said fund shall be made in writing on forms obtained from the Treasurer. Such applications shall be signed by or on behalf of the applicant or applicants giving all particulars required on such forms and shall also be signed by the Chairman and Honorary Secretary for the time being of the affiliated club for which the applicant was playing when he sustained injury, and after being received and considered by the Treasurer shall be referred to duly elected members that represent the division and area within which the club for which the applicant was playing when he was injured shall be situated.
No payment shall be made whatsoever out of the Fund without first obtaining the direction of the members for the appropriate division and such directions shall be final and binding for all purposes. Cheques in respect of drawings from the Fund will be signed by two of the Trustees with one being the signature of the Treasurer. In the absence of the Treasurer two trustees.
No Trustee hereof shall be liable for any loss unless such loss is attributable to the wilful commission by him of an act known by him to be a breach of trust.
